The a&o Stuttgart City with modern rooms is close to the main train station. The Reception is open 24/7, beside the common area, guests can use billiards or table football in the lobby area. The Bar, with its delicious snacks and refreshing drinks, is also available 24/7. The hotel has numerous on-site bus and car parking spots available.
a&o Stuttgart City is one of the newest property of a&o, it is located 2 km north of the main train station and is three stops or a seven-minute ride on the U12 (city rail) from the Milchhof station. Stuttgart city centre with its many attractions, including Schlossplatz, the Staatstheater [state theatre] and the historic Zahnradbahn, a rack railway Stuttgart residents call the Zacke [spike], are just a short walk away. It is best to arrive by car, bus or train.
The facility has every kind of room available for you: single, double and family rooms in the hotel part with en-suite shower and WC as well as TV or shared rooms for four to eight people with en-suite bathroom and comfortable bunk beds. There is free Wi-Fi in the entire a&o for all guests.
All you can eat' breakfast for just 9,30 EUR from 6:00 till 10:00 am (7:00 till 11:00 am on the weekend)

Amazing, cheap and clean hostel. I highly recommend to stay here.

This hostel is a real value for money and conveniently located about 20 minutes walk from main station. The only problem with this is that if your room has windows on the wrong side, you can hear all the trains coming and going. The room and the bathroom were clean. Bed was basic bunk with a little reading light, mattress not very comfy. You have to pay extra for sheets. I used the luggage room, which was free of charge and no problem.

The good: comfy beds, modern bathrooms, kind staff who let us check in at approx 9am as they saw us miserably tired waiting for the usual afternoon check in time. nice and clean.
The bad: weird vibe - mostly middle aged men milling about, definitely not a huge social vibe. location is good re tram stop very close, however we found we usually needed to do a tram and train connection to get where we needed to go.
The ugly: a man in our mixed door who was age 70ish walking around in his underwear
