Bev and Micks @ McMahon's hotel is a modern friendly INTERNATIONAL hostel (you need an international passport to stay) catering for travellers aged 18 to 35.
We have 4,6,8,10 bed dorms as well as Double rooms (private) available. Bed sheets and linen are provided as well as free lockers and heaters in each room. We offer cheap facilities, $3 for laundry and free wifi as well as cheap beer, free pool nights and free bbq's.
Free on-street parking available.
Our reception open @ 10 am and closes @ 11 pm. You maybe able to check in after this if pre-arranged well in advance.

Great location, just 20min from the main station, room was bit stinky but not dirty. There were just 2 shared showers as well as toilets, not very well maintained, for example the sink was blocked for all our stay and full of hair. The kitchen was even worse, cleaned once in a few days, dirty dishes everywhere, no clean place where to cook, liquids leaking from the fridge.
The Wi-Fi is free just in the pub downstairs and super slow.
People and staff were nice, no noise in the night.

Like a 15 minute walk to the train station, feels like a house share more than a hostel, on top of a pub which is nice. Lots of long terms people and it’s not very clean. Got the job done and would come back again

The reason I booked here was they advertised free parking in front of the building. I asked where to park when I got there and they told me anywhere should be fine. I still got a parking ticket.
