Located in the centre of town at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra de Tramuntana and 26 km from Palma.
Its idyllic location makes it a perfect place for rest and relaxation surrounded by mountains and places of interest including the Castle of Alar, Puig de la Font Fresca, Puig Vents, Orient ... ideal for mountain sports, hiking, horseback riding or just unwinding in the beautiful Mallorcan countryside.
Hostal Can Tiu consists of 8 double rooms and 1 suite, each equipped with bathroom. They also have TV, heating, safe, mini bar and some with mountain views. We are also proud to exhibit many works from artists of the region.
Enjoy our a la carte breakfast, made with the best local produce from the island! We also offer picnics a perfect accompaniment for exploring the outdoors.

Friendly staff and nice place but expensive for what you get. The internet wasn’t good at all and my “king” bed was two singles with separate sheets that were pushed together and kind of stayed together.
Very close to restaurants and bars and you can walk to the Castell, which I highly recommend.

I had an amazing time at Can Tiu! The hostal is perfect for those who want to explore the Teramuntana as several foot paths lead to the mountains from Alaro. The breakfast is great, and being able to make tea and coffee all day in the breakfast area was very welcome. I also liked that they provided toiletry products in the hallway, as I had forgotten a few things :-) Finally, the staff are fantastic, super friendly and helpful!
