The Independente Hostel & Suites is set in a stunning, opulent building originally built as an ambassador’s residence. This means the rooms are spacious and feature high ceilings so there’s plenty of space for the comfortable, custom-made bunk beds. Hostelworld guests have had high praise for the friendly staff, saying they “always seem to have smiles on their faces”. They also have an onsite bar and beer garden – and we particularly like the delicious food in their restaurant.

Our 12, 9 and 6-bed dorms are spacious and aired, and all include our custom designed triple bunk beds, with built-in secure storage. Counting 90 beds in total, we have exclusive female dorms, and plenty of bathrooms throughout the building.

Bathrooms were broken and felt dirty. Hostel room was cramped and there was nowhere to keep your belongings. Breakfast was good.

Creo que lo que realmente nos diferencia del resto de hostales son los numerosos extras que ofrecemos a nuestros clientes para mantenerlos entretenidos y cómodos. Hay Wi-Fi, seis ordenadores con internet para los huéspedes, una PlayStation3, juegos de mesa, documentales y películas, noches de vino portugués, nuestro tour en bicicleta por Belém, una noche de fado y mucho más. Tenemos un tour por los bares que es un rhapsody lisboeta, y nuestro tour indie improvisado es un recorrido a pie adaptable a los deseos de nuestros huéspedes! Incluso tenemos durante todo el año clases de surf y excursiones para hacer surf con los precios más bajos de la ciudad. Y además de todo eso, preparamos cenas comunes que se sirven todos los días por 5 euros. Además en nuestro hermoso patio ofrecemos a menudo conciertos de algunos de los artistas portugueses más fascinantes del momento... es el lugar perfecto para relajarse, leer un libro, tomar una copa y disfrutar del sol. ¡Y tenemos uno de los 20 mejores restaurantes de Lisboa (según la revista Time Out)!
