We pride ourselves on being a chilled and clean hostel with good vibes in a surfing paradise. Surrounded by many secluded beaches with spacious clean waves and sensational weather (even in winter times!)? Come and join the Bunch!
Cool Bananas is only 3 minute walk to the beach and 2 minute walk to the shops. ALL Rooms contain FREE LOCKERS. We have fast, unlimited WiFi in Main Common Room for our guests, as well as free tea and coffee available all day. FREE on-site parking as well as free shuttle to and from the Greyhound bus stop, with check-ins from as early as 6.30am. Be sure to look out for the 'dancing bananas' to greet you at the bus stop and shuttle you to the hostel.

How will you spend your time in Agnes Water? Reception can book various tours for you. Ask us about Surf Lessons! The starting point for Gnarly Tours Surfing! YEEEWWWW!!! also kayaking tours, bicycle hire, surf board hire, the beautiful bush walks and lookouts, trips to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Moreover, the famous Scooteroo Tour departs daily from the hostel. There are also FREE WALKS including the Paperbark Forest, Red Rock Trail and the Discovery Trail with stunning sunsets and sunrises only 10 minutes walk from the hostel.

This was a perfect stay, I really needed some chill time after travelling a long time and this was the perfect place to do it. Loved the people in this hostel, everyone was super friendly and I made new friends right from the moment they picked me up from the bus station. Loved cooking a nice meal, relaxing on the beach and drinking a beer at the bonfire at night. Also, did my first Aussie surf lesson and loved it, I actually caught some nice waves! So, I definitely recommend!

Agnes Waters is a small town which there was not a lot to do in the town. The hostel, first, the staff. Worst part of the entire stay - the staff all backpackers themselves are a clique that completely dominate all shared space. They display pathetic behaviour like hiding the remote for the TV and rarely interacting with guests. They are extremely unprofessional - gossiping about a previously bad review and laughing like they were proud of the bad service they provide. The rooms do not include a locked door

Staff was more bothered with themselves… when we arrived there was a car to pick us up, but helping us get our heavy backpacks in there was too much to ask (needed to do it ourselves both ways). In the evenings the staff was the loudest and u could hear them very well from the rooms. When dropping off they were more focused on getting back to the movie they were watching. Rude about using the wifi while they were trying to watch the movie. Rooms are fine, toilets and showers are also fine.
