Popis hostelu

An auberge translates as an inn and ours is situated in a 1875 warehouse, which we restored and rejuvenated. The basic attributes and rich textures of the old city building: the rock walls, the old hardwood floors, the arched windows and high ceilings.

The Auberge Alternative is an budget boutique hostel. The art of travelling moves us through internal as well as external landscapes and often a creative urge demands to link the two. The Auberge Alternative is an eco-friendly and artsy hostel providing accommodation and resources to travellers and artists alike to join us in redefining bohemia. Welcome to the Alternative.

Please note that we are on three levels, with no elevator.

Great location - walking distance from the Old Port & Downtown. Dorms and facilities were clean and well maintained. However, the staff whiffed on answering a few basic getting-around questions & this place allows children. Not a party hostel if that's what you're looking for.
