Popis hostelu
Macabi is a relaxing place a few meters from one of the most beautiful bays in South America: Taganga. You can enjoy your morning coffee while birds and iguanas visit our green areas. All installations count on high standards of cleanliness, and our kitchen is open all day for you to prepare meals without restrictions.
If you are starting a tour around South America, you can make a short stop here to learn some useful Spanish expressions besides some salsa moves; we offer a one-hour lesson in survival Spanish in the morning and an- hour class of Salsa in the afternoon for FREE. My 18 years of experience as an English and Spanish teacher and my passion for salsa dances guarantee you will get more than a comfy bed and a good breakfast.
We provide a relaxing atmosphere for backpackers and solo travellers. We offer basic accommodation in three rooms with Aircon, personal lockers and reading lamps.

Cancellation Policy: 3 days before arrival.In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

My stay was great, special thanks to Camilo that helped me so much - I've cutted my foot in Cartagena and couldn't walk much and he helped me with everything that I needed. The hostel is great, very confortable, great breakfast, close to the beach, and the Village of Taganga is very nice, small, calm beach, great people, would definitely come back!

If you are in Santa Marta, you must take a trip to Taganga and stay in this hostel. We arrived to Patricia who showed us around the place and to our room, which had air conditioning and very comfortable beds. This new hostel is perfect for a couple of nights by the beach, learning an extra bit of Spanish from Patricia, you can teach Dora (another member of staff) some English as well! Great location just 2 min walk to everything. Very clean facilities, all round great stay wish I could have stayed longer!
