Hurricane is your place to meet your new best friends. If you are looking for an adventure, we can show you how to do it. Whether it is taking a trip to the local parks, Sunday Funday on the beach, getting the best coffee in the city, or putting back a drink or two, our staff will help guide you to everything you need to have a good time.
We are located right in the heart of Split, next to everything you want to see or do. We like to say that from our amazing location, you are 'almost there' to any place you want to visit. In a matter of minutes, you can be in the UNESCO Heritage site of Diocletian's Palace, Marjan Hill Park, Bačvice beach, the Green Market, Poljud Stadium, and hundreds of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops.
We have 24 comfortable beds spread out across three well-equipped dorm rooms in a quiet part of town, and for a small fee, laundry services!! As soon as you walk in the front door, you can see the events and trips we have available. If you are looking for a place to rest and live a story, this is it.
Our friendly staff is always on hand to help you book any trip or tour to all of the best spots in and around Dalmatia, such as Krka and Plitvice National Parks, the Blue Lagoon, the Blue Cave, Dubrovnik, Mostar, and even kayaking and zip-lining in Omiš.
**We are a chill social hostel, and NOT a party hostel. People go to bed and we do observe quiet hours after 11pm. You can start the party here, and then we will show you where to go after hours to keep it going.**

Had a nice time at Hurricane, the staff were lovely and there was a cute dog. Google maps stops at slightly the wrong place (walk slightly further up the road and you’ll find it on the left). Placement is perfect to get to the old town and palace and not far from the station. There wasn’t a wild atmosphere but to be expected in the off season.

Aaron is an awesome host. Great social environment. He has cards and games. Big fridge. Only complaint is the difficulty of unlocking the front door after closing hours. Very very tricky/difficult. Otherwise a great stay!!

The staff kicked out a creepy guy the first night I was there, which I appreciated and made me feel safer. Was quite social I found. Triple bunk beds were okay but obviously a bit cramped. Kitchen is very small but it’s generally okay if not many people are using it. I only had to wait my turn one time even when the hostel was pretty packed, and it’s well stocked. Overall it was fine and I had no major problems.
