Why Not is a party hostel smack bang in central Mirissa. Featuring our deep-ass pool serving boozy drinks and ice cold beers. Not only can you get your drink on in style; our bunks are big, clean and comfy as hell and we have the best showers to wash away your sins the morning after.
Our Motto is WHY NOT, party harder, live louder, adventure more, and most importantly sleep later... we won't kick you out at 10am ;)
We are perfectly located 300m to the beach, near all the best bars & restaurants, 200m to the main bus stop, 50m to ATMs and shops, with world famous surf points, whale watching and safari tours right on our doorstep. International Passport is required on check in.

Cancellation policy: 24 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 14:00 to 21:00.
Check out before 11:00 .
Reception desk: 8:00-22:00
Tab system and payment upon leaving by cash only.
15% taxes not included.
No curfew.
We do not accept customers younger than 18 years of age.
Non-smoking room but with designated smoking area within the premises.
Pets are not allowed - we have our own ;)
Parking for bikes, tuk tuks and small vehicles.

Absolute belter of a hostel, literally the only place I found to have any fun in Sri Lanka. Ended up volunteering after my stay as a guest and couldn’t have spent the time with better staff or guests. Can chill by the pool and walk to the beach in the day and then it’s such a social place you’re never stuck for meeting new people. Ended up making some of the best travelling friends I’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this highly enough. The rooms are just what you need and have big lockers to lock your whole ba

Best party hostel in Sri Lanka. Events every night with an island bar right next to the pool and reception so it's super easy to socialize and meet people. Boat party on Monday is the best one I have been to so far on my travels around the world. Family dinner every night with an all you can eat buffet and tab system means you don't need to worry losing your wallet. Not a hostel you want to miss. Massive thanks to Alex and Luke 🦘. The boys down under know how to throw a sick party.

Good hostel for partiers. Only downside was it smelt of sewage by the pool and their music was stuck in 2010 lol
