Hostal el Vaquero welcomes national and foreign tourists who like adventures that can only be found in this place, it is located on the Quilotoa-chugchilán road, 20 minutes from the crater!
Our hostel is one of the most beautiful places you can find in the area. Stay there and enjoy the incredible view over the Rio Toachi canyon.
Always providing visitors with a family atmosphere is our goal and all rooms enjoy beautiful views. In addition to the viewpoints that are outside the hostel, we have common areas and a reading room, warm, cozy and close to the kitchen to provide the best service. The cleaning service is permanent and to relax after a long walk we offer you the sauna and Turkish bath service. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with a bath or shower and free toilets.
The restaurant serves a continental breakfast, available every morning at the property. This is a place where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

My partner and I stayed here on our second night while trekking to Quilotoa and really enjoyed our stay! The room was very comfortable and Victor provided the most welcoming environment. The food was amazing and we loved the homemade cheese! We also loved being right next to the trailhead. We had to walk through town to get here, however it was worth it to get a head start on day 3 of our trek. We also loved being able to use the sauna. Highly recommend this hostel!

This place was so homey and comfortable! The man who works there (owns it?) was absolutely delightful, the local cheese to die for, the saunas lovely and the doggos/baby llama were just icing on the cake. Perfect second night for the Quilotoa Loop.

Very little hot water had to run shower fpr over 20mins between people to have warm shower, food basic and pool closed as ‘too cold’, no lockers to store valuables and door to dormitory different to close when leaving room with no key or lock
