Zostel Vagamon is a backpackers’ hostel nestled in the soothing green meadows of Vagamon, a small hill-town in Kerala, India. Based in a scarcely explored region, it is a travellers’ gateway to Nature in its purest form, away from the tourists and city life.
The front yard at Zostel Vagamon overlooks a vast expanse of lush green hills while the backyard gives way to nearby tea estates. On the top floor, the vast common area doubles for a natural screen of panoramic views of the misty hills all around.

Zostel Vagamon is easily one of the best Zostels properties in India, however the only downside is the ij house restaurant and their food. If that's ignored. It's a place you must visit if you wish to have a quite and relaxing getaway from your busy life.

Overall we had a pleasant stay at Zostel Vagamon. The beds we’re comfortable and clean and the views were amazing. Food was really good as well. The downside is the common area was extremely dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. We were told breakfast was at 8AM and then it just ended up being 9 or so. Lastly, I find it extremely annoying when I have to log on to a website to check in. I’m here, ready to pay, have my documents. Check me in!!! Good stay overall.

The atmosphere, the view was too good toped up by the hospitality of Mr. Vinu & his team. We felt like home there. The food was great and the plating which was something different from what we usually experience at other zostels. Although there was a menu, Mr. Vinu made sure we tried great food combinations. He was like a talking encyclopedia of Vagamon. Anything and everything he is clear about. Really glad we decided to stay at Vagamon Zostel post the pathetic experience at Munnar Zostel.
