DO NOT BOOK!
Me and my friend have travelled a lot and we always choose the cheapest option, in most cases it’s worth it- it’s a little bit dirty maybe but still worth the price. This hostel was not worth it. There were rats running around the facilities and the rooms were the dirties we’ve seen, the sheets were a dark color of brown and there was no AC and EXTREMELY humid and musty. And THE SMELL was DISGUSTING, you could barely breath. The staff was the only good thing about the place. DO NOT BOOK!

Great place to stay. I paid for a dorm but was given a private room as there weren’t many guests. The owner was incredibly helpful telling me everything I needed to know. He had information about tours but didn’t push me to sign up and instead helped me arrange my own transport. He even let me check out 2 hours late as I was busy trying to sort a SIM card.

Nice accomodation if you need to rest some days in Medan before you're going to somewhere else. You can lock your baggage and even cook. There are facilities like fans, mosquitos protections, spoons and dishes. Good WiFi connection. Anyway don't expect luxury. Last but not least, the owner, mr. Yauw, is a friend who can help you in any way and whose advices are really precious, mostly if you're a foreigner for the first time in Indonesia. Suggested!
