Popis hostelu
Happy Buddha is located very close to Prawirotaman. With one minute walk to Prawirotaman street which is a touristic area with plenty of restaurants, both Western and Indonesian, and nice places to hang out or have a drink at night.
Happy Buddha has 4 rooms with AC and private bathroom that is equipped with hot shower, 3 rooms with fan with 2 sharing bathrooms that is equipped with hot water. We also offer a fan dorm which is in a different building, right in front of the hostel but the chilling area is at the main building.
Spacious common area inside and outside the hostel is made for the guest to connect easily with other travelers. Happy Buddha has a garden which is cozy and breezy which is also a chilling area with Wi-Fi throughout the hostel.
The majority people in Indonesia are Moeslem, so the Mosque is everywhere. They sing with a loud microphone 5 times in a day. Every place is always located few meters from the mosque, so that us.

It was a decent hostel, but there was only one shower and one toilet for all the residents. The host was extremely nice and helpful though, so we felt welcome. The location is good, the wifi as well, but the cleanliness could have been better (some dead cockroaches under the bed).

Great little hostel in the heart of backpacker-land. Facilities basic, plumbing cranky but clean, comfortable and very friendly.

We had a great stay at Happy Buddha Hostel! Especially Ardy made our stay there unfortgettable. He was always ready to help and gave us so many good tips about what to do around Yogjakarta!
