Perfect, safe, location near Ipanema beach. Most wonderful, friendliest and helpful staff I've ever met (special thanks to Rodrigo, Washington and Thiago). Ever-present cleaners (place stayed clean even during Rock in Rio). Rooms are as good as you'd expect. Internet got upgraded! If you came to party, this is the place to be, but if you want peace and quiet, better go elsewhere. What I didn't like was people smoking just outside the hostel and all the stench getting inside. Very unpleasant.

Overall, a great hostel. The location can’t be beat: a block from the beach and a block away from the metro. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful.
The rooms can be a little small, and sometimes it gets quite humid and warm in the dorm room.
While the downstairs lounge has lots of seating, I would not describe it as a place where people come to mingle and meet other backpackers.
Would definitely come back to this hostel!

Great place for young travelers, near the beach and in a safe neighborhood. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are the worst I've ever seen, feel like carton.
