Love this location! When staying in Santa Monica it’s super close to the pier and promenade. Security guard on premise and card scan entry at night. Some body odour smell in hallways at times. Bathrooms super close and new loved them. Beds were very squeaky even the slightest movement made noises because the springs rest of a plastic board. Free bagel, banana and coffee in AM is great when considering the $4 a night member fee. Reception staff were friendly. Able to keep baggage on day of check out was nice

Overall the hostel is great my only two complaints are the lack of activities and the that large groups are allowed to stay. For example there was a group of 30 that stayed during the same time as my visit. The group did not interact outside of there group which Seemed like a lost opportunity to have 30 random individuals from around the world to connect with. Do not miss the Sunday bar crawl, it’s a great opportunity to make connections.

Moderno hostel. Limpio y amplio. El trato es mas de hotel que de hostel. Te cobran por guardar las valijas el dia del checkout (si es dsp de las 13hs), lo que no se suele caracterizar en los hostels. Tambien te cobran una fee por dia.

HI Los Angeles - Santa Monica říká

I think that what Hostelworld guests like most about our property is our cool location, just a block from Santa Monica beach and pier and a block from shopping and great restaurants at the Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Mall. The Getty Museum is just a bus ride away. Personally, I recommend that our guests visit Jinky's next door for an awesome breakfast. For fun we have a lot of activities going on, like BBQs, pasta nights, comedy, salsa, poker nights and more. I really think we have the best of both worlds here - if you want to socialise you can join our group activities, and if you want to chill out on your own you can relax in our casual, modern, warm common areas. Most of our guests are aged 18 to 25 and we have facilities for people with special needs or disabilities.
