The unique interplay between glinting waves, impressive massifs and architectural gems makes Lucerne an extremely popular tourist destination. At the point where the River Reuss flows out of Lake Lucerne and past the world-famous Chapel Bridge, you can make yourself comfortable on the shore or feel a sense of history in front of frescoed houses. Highlights include the Musegg Wall, the Lion Monument, the Swiss Museum of Transport and a visit to the KKL Culture and Convention Centre. Or why not take a Pilatus round trip? Our youth hostel has an international atmosphere and is open all year round so you can sample all of the aspects of this festival and carnival city.

Very clean hostel with lots of space. Big common areas and dinning room. The atmosphere was dull with not much social activity. No place to store your bag except for the lockers in the hallway. Have to take a bus + 10 minute walk from the train station. Great breakfast!

Quiet and pleasant place to stay. Loved breakfast. Nice and kind staff. Only thing that I was a bit in trouble was no lift to carry my luggage to my room. I had quite heavy one, so staff helped me to carry.
