Having opened in 2015 as the first hostel in Canggu, the chances are that you've heard of Lay Day Hostel before. 8 amazing years and a prestigious HOSCAR award later Lay Day continues to maintain its strong reputation as the most popular hostel and best party hostel in Canggu, thus setting the standards in the area.
Founded by a four-person team of avid travelers and surfers from Indonesia, Netherlands, South Africa and United States, Lay Day delivers the perfect combination of party, surf and relaxation in the heart of Canggu, Bali's trendiest surfer town and place to be.
To create that feel there are a few things on offer: A fully operating bar open all day, a packed weekly event calendar, an excellent rooftop restaurant, legendary pub crawls, fast free WiFi, 24-hour security, airport and activity transfers, motorcycle rental, and the list goes on. To top that off we are notorious for having the most incredible friendly staff to help perfect your stay on the island. Our motto: there is nothing we can't help our guests with!
Lay Day consists of 16 comfortable, well-lit and spacious dorms sleeping between 4 and 6 people each and in a separate villa we boast 10 exceptional private rooms. The 10 standard dorms are found in the main area which also houses the bar and reception, and connected via separate entrances you will find two private sections where the deluxe 4 and 6 bed with private lounge areas, pools and kitchens are situated. All dorms and rooms are fully air conditioned, have ensuite bathrooms and are cleaned daily by our friendly housekeeping staff. Our en suite bathrooms all have hot showers and all dorm beds come with privacy curtains, bed lights, international power sockets and lockers underneath
The whole property is basically a superb chilling area with 5 pools and plenty of sun beds so you can relax in the sun, get your tan on and recover with yet another cold beer in hand. As the sun goes down trendy tunes start to flow from the bar and the party takes full swing again for another night of great times

Lay day is really a party hostel. The place is clean, looks nice. You can’t lock your door but there is a guard there that checks on the people. You have to pay 500k for a bracelet to pay your drinks and food there with that was not mentioned anywhere before (or you had to leave your passport over there as deposit). The rooms are next to the bar so you can hear the music very clearly. Friendly staff, nice pool. Good partyhostel, not if you look for a relaxing stay
