Koon Cottage

Koon cottage is a serene cottage tucked away approximately 3 km from Kandy CBD, where you catch a glimpse of the Mahaweli River and nearby mountain ranges and surrounded by plenty of greenery and endemic bird species.

The temple of the tooth, Udawattha kele forest, Museum and the Cultural dance shows are just 2.5km. The Peradeniya Botanical Garden is a 45 min by public transport or taxi. Public transportation around 600m from the house, whilst there is also call taxi 24/7 nearby.

Koon cottage is situated in a very clean and quiet environment away from the city within a serene neighborhood. Vegetables, Fruits and other daily consumables can be purchased from shops around the area within 1 km towards the Lewella Junction.
Public transport is quite convenient. The bus stop is 600 km away. In addition, UBER, Pickme taxi services, and low-cost Trishaws are also available.

To get to Koon Cottage, take Lewella Road and as you come down, there is a street to the right called 'Bangalawatte Rd'. As you come down Bangalawatte Rd, Turn right at the first T junction, and then again right at the next T junction. This leads you to a road next to the Mahaweli river. As you come down, there is a concrete road to your right going uphill. The first gate to the left on this road, colored green, is Koon Cottage
