Welcome to the Hotel Alpina in the village center of carless Zermatt.
Our establishment has hosted thousands of visitors from all over the world over many decades. We do not have whirlpools or massage chairs. However, you will find everything you need and as a little extra, a coffee machine. Even if our rooms are not luxurious, you will feel the history and charm of the Alpina. Many years of experiences.
Best of all, you are welcome to stay with us. What we do not have to offer in luxury, we have been compensating for years with cordiality and great feel-good factor at a reasonable price. You come to Zermatt because Zermatt is unique, just like we are. Always included: the rich breakfast buffet, one of the most important meals of the day. We attach great importance to this. Great location. Delicious breakfast!! Our bed broke 4 times. Every time we tried to fix it, but it would break again if it was sat on wrong and the mattress and frame would fall towards the floor. They accommodated us with another room to sleep in, but the bed wasn’t as comfy and the original one.

This was a great little hotel in Zermatt. The beds i would say are not to comfortable but everything else about this place was amazing. The rooms had great views and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was incredibly helpful in suggesting places to visit within Zermatt! They just opened a new portion of the hotel as well so I would check that place out as well.

The room was so clean and cozy, it felt more like being in a cabin than a hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was super helpful
