Hostal Villa Grande is located in an exclusive area of the city (Avenida Balboa) and close to the downtown. It is a new hostel for budget travellers with a nice and cosy atmosphere.

Staff doesnt speak english. No AC in dormitory. There was a huge fight in my dorm. Looks more like a prison than hostel. Those pictures in the website are not from this hostel. There was huge smelly garbage mountain bext to main door, which smells to second floor terrace.

This is a very basic hostel. It is not close to any shops or restaurants, it is about 20 minutes walk to the city. The staff are friendly, and were kind enough to keep something i left behind for me to collect again later.

Very polite and kind people run the place. Stay included breakfast which was a cup of coffee, two slices of white bread and an egg. Location is alright, but one had better be able to speak some Spanish, as the staff spoke no English.
