Room had not been cleaned. Had no air con. Sockets in the room were blew when we got there, fixed for the fan then told we have one socket not to use the rest. The room was like a hot box, the fan wasnt much good. Couldnt get a wink of sleep anyway with the noise of people running up and down the corridor drunk and shouting to after 6 in the morning. One mens toilet working on the entire 2nd floor. Not near good enough.

other than ththe fantastic location and decent price, this hostel is pretty terrible, very dirty (especially the bathrooms) and half of the male tolilets arent in service. the rooms have an aircon unit that do next to nothing and the rooms are still very hot. As this hostel is massive, there isnt really an atmosphere and it isnt great for meeting people unless you are put in room with some good people

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews on here. Our stay was spot on with a clean and big room, we were in a private not a dorm so can’t comment on them however everything was fine. Staff were great and A/C was good. Lots of character in an old building, would definitely book again if ever back in Brisbane
