Hostal Pakay boasts great views over the town, the Andes mountains and the captivating grounds around the guesthouse. The property has more than two hectares that displays a variety of plants and birds plus a jungle garden with the typical agriculture of the Amazon.
It is built with local materials and eco-friendly accommodations like dry toilets and a biological waste water treatment.

One of my favourite places I’ve stayed in Ecuador. Hostel setting is great, so many plants and trees. Accommodation is really nice. The tours from the hostel and the recommendations of activities to do were really good. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also really nice. 10/10

Best hostel in Ecuador. If you are looking for adventure and a place that feels like home, look no further -whitewater kayaking, rafting, jungle tours, hikes, waterfalls, and countless adventures you can do on your own.
The owner, Tony, is an absolute legend. He speaks 4 languages, and leads the hostel tours himself. He has been a mountain guide, jungle guide and whiteater guide. If you are lucky enough to land a say tour/adventure with him, consider yourself lucky.
