I don’t know who left the bad review but here is the deal. Sabaneta is not THAT far from downtown Medellin. Walk through the mall Mayorca and head right towards the Hotel. It not too far a walk after the Metro and you can stop in the mall for a suero o café if you need anything. Portón is a great hotel, it’s clean, it’s quiet, it’s got A/C and it’s a good price. If you want to stay in a place that allows you to get away from the music of a hostel with all the access to the party downtown. Trust.
