The Marion is a boutique hostel right in the heart of New Zealand's capital, near Cuba Street and Courtenay Place, where all the cultural and bohemian city life is happening.
You came to the right place if you want an unforgettable stay in New Zealand's buzzing capital. After a day of traveling and discovering Wellington, we want you to feel at home in a stylish, relaxing and clean environment. Enjoy the view of Cuba Street from the rooftop terrace, or swap stories with your new friends over a coffee or craft beer.
We offer our guests free unlimited WiFi. Every bed has it's own power plug, light and locker. Towels are available on request.
Reception is open daily from 6:30am - 8:00pm. If no one is at the desk, there will be a contact number left.
If you are arriving after 8PM, please contact us and we will arrange to welcome you.

Overall this hostel is in a great location and everything was clean. However, it’s a tall narrow building, so be prepared for lots of stairs. It’s right near Cuba street which is great for getting bites to eat. The top bunks have curtains, but the rooms are very tall and the over head hanging lights are above the bed. Therefore, the curtain is really only for privacy because it’s still very bright. The ladders to the top bunk can also be difficult to navigate.

Perfect location, staff really helpful and decorated super nice, feels like a stylish house or hotel rather than hostel. Curtains in dorms make a huge difference, I wish more hostels in nz had them- i slept great!

Defs an expensive hostel and the crowd seems to be split between longer term stayers and like digital nomads, not so many young backpacker types, but a treat your self hostel ! Even if you’re in an 8 bed dorm the beds feel very private with curtains etc
