We are located in Salvador's Historic and Cultural Centre, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pelourinho.
Right in our first year we were voted Best Hostel in Brazil by HostelWorld members. You can also find us in Lonely Planet's finicky Our Pick, along with some rather flattering words from the traveler's holy book.

Some things you should know
We do not accept credit cards
Check out is 1200 (Time for a last late breakfast and shower)
Check in is 1400 (Gives us time to clean after late departures)
Arriving before 0730 am please make sure you book from the night before
Leaving late no problem you can hang around the hostel free of charge until 2300 after that its only fair you pay another night!
We offer our great breakfast until 1200, but please note we do not have a customer kitchen.
Cancellation Policy: 7 days cancellation policy If you have to make a
change please do email the hostel.

Overall, this hostel was nice, good to meet people, good happy hour and great breakfast. However, the hostel’s one downfall is it’s location within Salvador feeling unsafe and the issue of Ubers not being able to reach the hostel’s front door easily. Not the hostel’s fault but worth flagging, especially for solo travellers, as you cannot feel safe in the area once it gets dark (6pm). The problem is that Uber drivers get directed to the main square instead of the hostel. The hostel have tried to solve this problem by providing guests with a message to show Uber drivers but it is too long and, in our experience, drivers did not fully read it. This meant either risking walking from the square in the dark or making the driver reroute (which was complicated and took us 20+ minutes on two occasions).

Great location in the heart of Salvador. Really nice staff and nice breakfast. Unfortunately, the hostel was almost empty, so not easy when you're looking to connect with other. Could be a bit more clean.
