our room was way smaller than pictured and in the basement with ground level windows we couldn't open for safety issues

I stayed at the hostel for 4 days and through all that time renovation works were being carried. Every single day something was being painted in the corridor on my floor and a very strong smell of paint was getting to my room. I had to keep the window open constantly and it was cold in my room. Also, a hostel's employee (a woman with a pierced nose) screamed at me because I was knocking at the hostel's door for someone to open them; btw. the entrance was through emergency exit.
